PSY445 Adolescent Development

This course is an introduction to adolescent development. It is a blended learning course, combining traditional face-to-face instructional methods with computer-mediated on-line instruction and advanced interactive methods. Biological, psychological, social, and cultural issues will be examined from the perspective of adolescents of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Special emphasis will be placed on examining how adolescents negotiate various goals, values, and expectations across diverse cultural contexts of family, school, peers, neighborhood, work and community.
